David H. Maybank, Jr., J.D., CSRP

David graduated from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia in 1990. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina in in 1994. David earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina’s School of Law in 1997 and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar the same year. He is a member of the Charleston County and South Carolina Bar Associations. He is licensed to practice in the State of South Carolina in addition to the Federal District Court for South Carolina. David began practicing law as an associate with O’Brien and Hennessy in 1997. David also moonlighted as a prosecutor for the City of Charleston’s Municipal Court from 1998-2008. In 2004, O’Brien & Hennessy became Hennessy & Walker Group, P.C. where David became a partner in 2005. David practiced in its South Carolina office until 2015 when he became a founding member of Maybank & Owings, LLC.

C. Capers Owings, Esq. earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law where he graduated cum laude in 2000 and was admitted to the Bar the same year. He was the recipient of the CALI Award in Tort I, a member of the Wig & Robe, and a member of the Moot Court Bar. He is a cum laude graduate of the College of Charleston (BA, 1995) and received his degree of Master of Public Administration from the University of South Carolina in the same year he received his law degree. He is a member of the Charleston County and South Carolina Bar Associations. He is licensed to practice in the State of South Carolina in addition to the Federal District Court for South Carolina. Before becoming a founding partner in Maybank & Owings in 2015, he practiced for three years at Young Clement Rivers & Tisdale, LLP, in Charleston, SC. He joined the South Carolina office of O’Brien and Hennessy in September of 2003 as an associate which later became Hennessy & Walker Group, P.C. in 2004. Capers became a partner in Hennessy & Walker in 2005 and practiced in its South Carolina office until 2015 when Maybank & Owings, LLC was officially formed.
